During our trip and sharing our attitude and program in the Republic of France, one of the most important and effective meetings was with the President of the le-de-France Regional Council Mrs. Valerie Pecresse and with her Deputy.
Ile-de-France includes the city of Paris and the surrounding area, which is the most populous and important region in the political administrative and economic structure of France.
The chairman of the district council is elected and is the governor of his state.
Our message during the trip to France was to follow according the line of thought of the national hero of Afghanistan Ahmad Shah Massoud and his political will to convey the same message as in the last twenty years.
With Mrs. Pecresse we also brought the demands and plans of our people, a lasting peace, and with the dignity and political demands of the martyr Ahmad Shah Massoud the National Hero of Afghanistan.
Mrs. Pecresse acknowledged that the wishes and thoughts of the national hero of Afghanistan were almost in line with her mentality and pledged to convey our political message and demands not only to other officials of the French Republic but also to senior EU officials.
In the first step, on April 1, 2021, the President of the Regional Council and all members of the Council adopted a resolution based on highlighting the role of the European Union in the Afghan peace negotiations and supporting the claim and our letters. This was, in fact, the first step towards implementation of their political commitments.
The resolution emphasizes the establishment of lasting peace in our country, ensuring stability and security for the people of Afghanistan, and respect for fundamental values such as democracy and human rights with the support of Europe.
Mrs. Pecresse promised to extend her next steps in support of the Afghan people throughout France and the European Union, and to make the demands of the Afghan national hero of Afghanistan, such as a decentralized political system and a dignified peace, as the only solution to Afghanistan’s problems of today and tomorrow.
