Ten liquefied gas tankers caught fire during a fire at gas storage facilities north of Herat city.
Jilani Farhad, spokesman for the governor of Herat, said the fire was caused by carelessness and lack of safety precautions when transferring liquefied natural gas from one tanker to another.
Mr. Farhad added that one person was also superficially injured.
Herat governor’s spokesman said firefighters contained the blaze for three hours.
It is very interesting that this is the third fire in the third port of northern Afghanistan after the arrival of Sanai Stanekzai as Herat police chief, which has caused early two hundred millions of dollars in damage.
