Why Pakistan is behind the explosion of Islam Qala in Herat?

Was the Islam Qala  explosion the first achievement of Herat’s new security Chief commander Mr. Sanai Stanekzai in the favor the Southern Network and Pakistan?

Afghanistan, due to its enclosure being dry land,  needs the borders of neighboring countries to reach the global market.

Decades of insecurity have made Afghanistan depends on Pakistan’s Torkham- Spin Boldak port in terms of corridors in the global market.

Changing political climate in the Middle East and Central Asia, the emergence of China and India in the world economy and changing US policies with actors involved in Afghan politics, led Afghanistan to other corridors to Chabahar, Islam Qala Herat, Khaf Railway, Kata Corridor Tir, Kyrgyzstan road, Tajikistan Afghanistan and Iran, Balkh corridor to be activated.

The Torkham-Spin Boldak border was a vital highway for Afghan and Pakistani Merchants and traders, but over time, the activation of corridors from the north of Afghanistan to Iran and other northern Neighbouring countries reduced the Afghaistan dependencies on Pakistan’s corridors and the business in Pakistan’s borders massively reduced it’s flourish.

Before the Islam Qala explosion, about 60% of Afghanistan’s trade toke place through ports other than Pakistani, and about 40% through Pakistani ports such as Torkham, Spin Boldak and Ghulam Khan.

Normally, more than 100 $million a day was spent on commercial goods, whether exported to Pakistan, exported from Pakistan, imported into Pakistan or imported through Pakistan. But after the establishment of alternative corridors the numbers  in Pakistani ports was reduced.

The creation of alternative corridors led numbers of national businessmen and members of the Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Industry to say that, closing the Torkham and Spin Boldak border to Afghanistan would be in Afghanistan’s long-term interest.

Pakistan could no longer use its corridors as leverage on Afghanistan as before.

Pakistan has repeatedly blocked the Torkham and Spin Boldak borders to traders of both countries.

Related to this issue Khan Jan Alokozai, deputy director of the country’s chambers of commerce and industry said that, according to the agency, Afghan and Pakistani businessmen were losing 4 million $ a day due to border closures.

Did Pakistan have no  other alternative but to join the destruction to explode Islam Qala border to Iran?

Does Pakistan consider Iran’s Chabahar port a rival to Gwadar port and is trying to keep the Afghan Market in  his control by destabilizing the north of Afghanistan?

The benefit of the Southern Network with Pakistan is in destabilizing the North  of Afghanistan.

As a result, the plot to blow up Islam Qala was dropped by Pakistan, and the Afghan side The Southern Network carried out the bombing plan by sending General Sanai Stanekzai as Herat’s security Chief commander to Herat.

Mr. General Sanai Stanekzai passed his first exam successfully.

However, this is the beginning of Stanekzai’s the Southern Network and Pakistan’s joined mission to carry out the project of destruction and insecurity in the north Afghaistan specially in Province of Herat.
